It's not unusual for a couple to say that they are really nervous about having their photograph taken and some are literally dreading it. Hannah & Liam won't mind me telling you that they are exactly that couple. Quite shy and private to people outside their social circle, they said they were not looking forward to being centre stage at their wedding with a professional photographer around.

I love engagement shoots, or if you want to be hip: 'E-shoots' because it gives couples an incredible insight into why there's noting to worry about. Like the actual day, there's no awkward posing to do, apart from the obligatory family shots, signing of the register and maybe a cake shot, I'm there simply to tell the story as a wedding day unfolds, quietly and naturally.

I asked Hannah & Liam to suggest a place that was special to both of them; Cricceth beach in stunning Wales because they had spent so many happy times there. 

We met at dusk (amazing light always) and as a photographer, i'd like the viewer to look at their initial photo's as we took a little walk on the beach. No pressure, no crowd and you'll see, after 15 minutes they were totally relaxed, which carried on totally perfect to their amazing wedding day.
